Jackie Collins Dies

At 77-years-old, bestselling author Jackie Collins died after a painful six-year battle with breast cancer. The news broke Saturday evening of her passing.

"It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today," said the family in a statement to People Magazine.

"She lived a wonderfully full life and was adored by her family, friends and the millions of readers who she has been entertaining for over 4 decades. She was a true inspiration, a trailblazer for women in fiction and a creative force. She will live on through her characters but we already miss her beyond words.

Jackie's older sister, Joan Collins, shared a touching tribute to her "beautiful brave baby sister." On Twitter she shared, "Farewell to my beautiful brave baby sister. I will love you and miss you forever. Rest in peace."

Kim Richards Celebrates 51st Birthday

It's been a rough year for former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kim Richards, who has been in and out of the courtroom and rehab since April. After being arrested for public intoxication a few months back, Richards was placed in rehab by her kids and even had a go with Dr. Phil on his show. However, Richards sadly fell off the wagon at her daughter Brooke's Cabo wedding and was arrested once more last month for shop lighting a hefty amount of merchandise from Target.

And even after millions of viewers witnessed the complicated relationship between she and sister Kyle, the two were able to celebrate Kim's 51st birthday over the weekend — at Lisa Vanderpump's PUMP restaurant no less!

Kyle shared a sweet post on Instagram celebrating her older sis.

Right here, right now @kimrichards11 it's your birthday sister!!!

Candace Cameron Bure Speaks On View Controversy

Newbie host Candace Cameron Bure admits that The View  took a wrong turn last week during the Nurse Gate scandal in which Joy Behar and Michelle Collins were under fire for poking fun at Miss Colorado in the Miss America pageant.

Cameron Bure came to the defense of nurses this weekend at the Pre-Emmys party in Hollywood.

"I did doge a bullet although I wish I were there because I would have had some other words to say, which were how much I appreciate nurses." The actress continued, "We couldn't do what they do. Doctors couldn't do what they do without the nurses. I'm so appreciative and grateful of nurses."

Viola Davis Breaks Record

Viola Davis stole the show last night when she became the first African American woman to win the Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Drama Series. Her moving acceptance speech was a powerful testament to the honor and Davis shared her extraordinarily heartfelt remarks on the win.

"And let me tell you something, the only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there. So here's to all the writers, the awesome people — people who have redefined what it means to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be a leading woman, to be black. And to the Taraji P. Hensons, the Kerry Washingtons, the Halle Berrys, the Nicole Behaves, the Meagan Goods, to Gabrielle Union, thank you for taking us over that line."
