Vice President Joe Biden revealed some devastating news this weekend regarding his 46-year-old son, Beau. After a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, the VP’s son and father of two died.
Before Biden served as the Delaware attorney general from 2007 to 2015, he joined the Delaware Army National Guard, where he served as a major. He also served one year in Iraq in 2008.
In a statement from Beau’s family, a letter read, “The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words. We know that Beau’s spirit will live on in all of us – especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter.”
Biden was diagnosed with brain cancer almost two years ago in August. “Beau embodied my father’s saying that a parent knows success when his child turns out better than he did. In the words of the Biden family: Beau Biden was, quite simply, the finest man any of us have ever known.”
Kelly Rutherford’s Ongoing Custody Battle

Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford remains on an uphill battle as she tries to regain custody of her two small children who are being held in Monaco with their father, and Rutherford’s estranged husband Daniel Giersch. According to the Associated Press, Giersch claims that Rutherford made “fraudulent statements” and “lied” for the sake of her son Hermes, 8, and daughter Helena, 5.
Last week, Rutherford was granted sole legal and physical custody of her children by a California judge who demanded the children be returned to the States. Only a few days later, was the move halted by Rutherford’s ex.
The difficult news is not the first time Rutherford has been faced with custody obstacles. It was in 2013 when a judge ruled that Giersch was no longer responsible for sending his children to the U.S. for visits with their mother.
