The show must go on...barely 24 hours after the horrific news out of Paris, France, Saturday Night Live had a live show to perform from New York City. Actress Elizabeth Banks hosted the show, and was hilarious as always.
The audiences at home and in the studio were understandingly expecting an opening that carried some sentiment about the terrorist attacks on the Parisians, but we got more than what we expected when SNL player Cecily Strong took the stage to share the show's sympathy and sorrow.
Her statement, said both in English and French, was a tear jerker.
See Strong's statement below, along with one other comedic skit from the night.
Soleil Moon Frye Expecting Baby #4
The Punky Brewster alum could not have picked a more fitting time to announce that she was expecting her fourth child. On Saturday before heading to the celebrity-filled Baby 2 Baby annual gala in Hollywood, Soleil Moon Frey shared that she and husband Jason Goldberg were expecting their fourth child.
The 39-year-old broke the news in an Instagram post saying, "No hiding this bump now :)."
The parents are already mom and dad to daughters Poet, 10, and Jagger, 6. And their son, Lyric, just turned 17 months.
Congrats to the couple and growing family!
Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 11 Premiere
You read that right...America's "royal family" kicked off season eleven of their show Sunday night. You'd think this family would be slowing down after nearly ten years on the air, but things are getting juicier than ever.
Now with Caitlyn officially out and about as her authentic self, the family is still dealing with the adjustments that go along with saying goodbye to their dad and step-dad, Bruce.
The premiere highlighted some tensions between Caitlyn and Kris, including when all five girls were in the audience at the ESPY Awards while Caitlyn received her Arthur Ashe Courage award, but skipped the after party to have dinner with Kris. Caitlyn wasn't thrilled that the girls partook in only half of the night's events, but Kendall points out that she and younger sister, Kylie, are still figuring out how to deal with a divided family.
We also get a glimpse into Kourtney's new life as a single woman raising three kids. While we didn't see much of Scott during the episode, it's clear is there is plenty more to come from him and his hopefully-sober antics.
Singer JoJo Loses Her Dad
On Saturday, singer, songwriter and actress JoJo announced in a moving Instagram post that her father had passed away. While the cause of death is unknown to the public, the 24-year-old said that Joel Levesque, 60, had been sick and in pain for some time.
She shared two pictures of herself as a little kid playing with her father accompanied with the caption, "I missed you even while you were here. I will miss you infinitely more now that you're gone. Thank you for holding on as long as you did. I know you tried your best. You are free now."
I missed you even while you were here. I will miss you infinitely more now that you're gone. Thank you for holding on as long as you did. I know you tried your best. You are free now. I will love you always, Dad. I can feel you with me. Rest now. In PEACE. I miss your voice. I wish more people could have heard it. I promise I will keep singing for you. Joel Maurice Levesque.
