I am pretty sure if you are breathing and blinking, you have heard of or seen a bob haircut before. This trendy hairstyle originated in the roaring 1920's when it was looked upon as high class and glamorous to have short straight hair.  These women, also known as flappers, were usually popular and in the entertainment business. Okay, enough history, but this is just to give you an idea of how long this style has been around for and reinvented.

In this day and age, we don’t necessarily want to say out with the old and in with the new. Instead, we just tweak the old and make it new again! This goes for everything. I mean, have you seen all the 1990's grunge fashion mixed with '60s accessories and '50s bright lipstick? I guess that is what’s so great about our current generation. Any trend, decade, area, or fad is what’s in right now, even for our hair.

So what is a lob? A lob is a long bob haircut. This is the hottest trend for hair for 2015. A lob is a blunt haircut with minimum to no layers all around the head. It is a look that works on all face shapes, head sizes, hair colors, and ages. A lob usually sits right on the shoulder down 3 inches longer than shoulder length.

If you wanted to wear it straight, it appears longer due to its blunt cut at the bottom. Or say you wanted you’re hair to look a little shorter and more playful? Add some mouse, give it a shake and you have the perfect beach hair. The beauty of it all is that it is still long enough to wear it up but short enough where it only takes you five minutes to do no matter what your hair texture is like.
