Well, it had to happen sooner or later: after a thus far mild winter, New England is now under a blanket of snow (brrr....) and I find myself counting the days till spring (about 90, give or take). Why does that seem like forever? Because, the truth of the matter is, that if you live in New England, it is forever, LOL.
I can actually recall my first year in Boston (circa 1982-83) and upon returning to my dorm after a few days back home, I hauled myself and my suitcase out of a taxi, and looked up to find myself standing in the middle of what looked like a snowglobe. The sky just opened up, and just like that, voila, it started to snow.
It was April.
As I was saying, it takes a certain degree of optimism and patience to live in New England. And so it goes.
In the meantime...
We've been crazy busy here at WF, adding fantastic new lifestyle videos to our already rich library, and bringing you the most refreshing, inspirational, and tell-it-like-it-is bloggers we know you'll love. One of our newest talents is 19-year-old Briana, and if you're wondering what you might have in common with a 19-year-old young woman, let me say this: you'd be surprised.
For those of us in the suburbs of 40 (ha), reading Bri's blogs will bring back so many memories of starting out, dreaming big dreams, and trying to make sense of it all. Take a moment to get to know Briana--you'll love her (as we do).
Well, my friends, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and this year, my Valentine's cup runneth over with a wonderful husband and three toddlers to love (okay, smother) to pieces. I'd like to come up with some fun Valentine's tradition for the kids to enjoy every year and I welcome your ideas. Maybe a picture of the kids on the same day every year or a scrapbook we can add to on that day...I'm not sure, but I have to believe that with this much love, magically and finally in my life, I've got to do something to memorialize it that the kids can look back on in years to come. And I welcome your ideas should you feel like sending them my way. Feel free to drop me a note at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Until Then,
