On the heels of reports that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and her husband, Grammy-winning music producer David Foster, are calling it quits, people are wondering what could have gone wrong in this seemingly fairytale romance.

From the outside looking in, reports are alleging that the vows "through sickness and in health" could not sustain the four-year marriage between David and Yolanda. One year after the two tied the knot in 2011, Yolanda was diagnosed with neurological Lyme disease. Her brain function — including reading, writing, and driving a car — has been severely compromised and the mom of three has been especially vocal with her mission to find a cure to the autoimmune disease.

David, married three times prior to Yolanda, allegedly put work before his wife's health many times before the two were forced to go their "separate ways." Yolanda, mother to celebrity model Gigi Hadid, 20, Bella Hadid, 19 and Anwar, 16, essentially confirmed this theory Tuesday night during the season six premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

In her interview, Yolanda shared, "He's so busy. He travels for work, that's who he is. That shouldn't change just because I'm sick."

Caregiving a sick loved one is rarely an easy transition, especially during the honeymoon stages of a marriage. And whether David's intentions were to be there with his wife, Yolanda has allegedly been confined to the four walls of her bedroom while David travels the world on business for days and weeks at a time.

In a blog for the Bravo show, Yolanda shared some telling thoughts about her friends, and possibly her husband. "I've learned to accept people's lack of long-term compassion for others while they live their busy lives."

And with the future of Yolanda's health still unclear, her estranged husband might not have the strength or mentality to care for a sick wife without any guarantees about what's ahead.

One day after the announcement of their split, Yolanda wrote for her Twitter followers, "We've grown apart but my love and respect for [David] is still the same, he's been very good 2 me so pls don't judge our journey!"

As Yolanda and David leave their lives together behind, we wish nothing but health and happiness for them both.
